No, peels are not painful. The VI Peels have an anesthetic component to the peel which helps to slightly numb the skin. Some people experience a warm feeling during the treatment.

It takes about seven days after your peel treatment for the peeling process to be completed, with most people generally peeling the most between days two and five. Peeling typically starts around the mouth and then works its way out towards the edge of the face.

During your VI peel appointment at Refresh & Renew MedSpa in Clarkston, Michigan, we’ll review the instructions and give you helpful tips and tricks to be successful in the week following your treatment. It is crucial to stay out of the sun for the first seven days, and imperative that you do not pull any of the peeling skin. You’ll leave your appointment with a post-treatment kit and instruction pamphlet and you can also download an app that will prompt you when it’s time for a care step.
For BioRePeels, there is minimal post-treatment care required. Remember to keep sunscreen on and wear a hat outside.

For VI peels, after seven days of peeling, your glowing results will be revealed. Depending on your goals, a series of three to six peels may be recommended to achieve the desired results.

Yes! “Glowtox,” as this combo treatment is called, yields beautiful results. We are able to combat wrinkles two-fold with the resurfacing of the peel & relaxation from the tox. Bonus: there is a slight anesthetic component in the VI peel, so you’ll feel the tiny tox pokes even less!
