Dermal fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid that is injected into the skin to create volume. Biostimulators are formulated to work within your own tissue to stimulate natural collagen and cell growth. While hyaluronic acid dermal fillers generally last nine to 12 months, biostimulator results can last up to two years.

The number of treatments needed are largely individualized and dependent on what type of biostimulator you are being treated with, as well as variables such as age, degree of volume loss and the area being treated. Most clients require anywhere from one to three treatments, with four to six weeks between each appointment.

Depending on the type of biostimulator you’re being treated with, you may have some swelling. With a Sculptra or Derma treatment, most swelling will subside within 24 to 48 hours. Swelling after a Radiesse+ treatment will subside within 48 to 72 hours.

Yes. Both Sculptra and Radiesse+ treatments require strict adherence to a post-treatment regimen. Clients must commit to massaging the injected areas for five minutes, five times a day, for five days following treatment. Inability to adhere to this post-treatment regimen will disqualify you from receiving this treatment.

Results for this treatment are not immediate and will require some patience. Remember, Sculptra is stimulating your body to make new cells, so it will take some time to see the final outcome. Within four to eight weeks of your treatment, new cells and new collagen begin to form. Within the first four to six weeks, most clients report having a “Sculptra Glow” of rejuvenated skin, with an increase in overall volume occurring gradually with subsequent treatments. Results are subtle, natural and last over two years.

Derma produces immediate, natural results. Over time your body will break down the Derma and build new collagen and elastin. Some clients will need a second treatment within six weeks to achieve their goals. Once the desired goal is met, we recommend receiving this treatment yearly.
